Where can I park?

Free race-day parking will be noted here in the lead up to the race.

Due to race safety measures, the City of San Antonio will be closing roads around the Commander’s House at 7 AM. Please plan to arrive early to guarantee a spot. If you are using a ride share, please use the H-E-B Parking Garage on 407 Dwyer Ave. for drop-off and walk across Skybridge to the event.

What is the route for the race?

Turkey Trot 2025 kicks off at the iconic Commander’s House in the heart of Downtown San Antonio. From there, you can expect a scenic journey past some of the city’s most treasured landmarks featuring Riverwalk views, historic La Villita, and the Tower of the Americas.

How will weather affect the event?

In the absence of severe weather conditions, the race will take place rain or shine. If severe weather, such as lightening or hail, compel us to cancel the event, we will do our best to provide notice well in advance of the event start time. Registration fees will not be refunded in the event of a severe weather cancellation.

What time should I arrive?

We encourage race participants to arrive as desired the morning of the race. Due to race safety measures, the City of San Antonio will be closing roads around the Commander’s House at 7 AM. Please plan accordingly in order to access parking for the event.

The race begins promptly at 8:30 AM at 622 S. Flores St., San Antonio, TX 78204.We are expecting around 10,000 runners this year, please remember that the starting line will close at 8:45 AM. If you arrive late, please stay on the sidewalks until you catch up with the pack.

Will refreshments and snacks be provided to runners?

Yes! Thanks to our presenting sponsor, H-E-B, Turkey Trot participants can enjoy a variety of race day refreshments and snacks. Coffee will be available before the race, courtesy of Dutch Bros, and runners will find two water stations along the race route. After crossing the finish line, participants can refuel with water & electrolyte drinks generously provided by Force of Nature and Nestle.

Is the race stroller friendly?

Absolutely! The Turkey Trot is a family friendly event. Please consider the safety of others as you place yourself in the race if you bring a stroller.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are allowed at the event. Please be aware that we are expecting upwards of 10,000 runners this year. If you decide to run with your pet, please ensure that they are properly secured on a leash or pet stroller for the entire event.
