MOBILE PANTRY COORDINATOR

The San Antonio Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry program is targeted to address hunger and nutrition in under-served locations, i.e., where there are gaps in service in the emergency food network, identified by high unemployment rates, population demographics (e.g., children qualifying for free school meals), and insufficient access to food pantries and food resources (WIC, commodity food program, etc.). With an emphasis on fresh produce, Mobile Pantry improves access to healthy foods for residents of low-income neighborhoods throughout our service area, where clients are often challenged by lack of access to a grocery store with reasonably priced and healthy food.
