Operating June 1 – August 11

Summer Meal Site Requirements

Eligible sites are those that serve in low-income areas or those that serve specific groups of low income children (Contact your sponsor to see if your site is eligible).

Sites should be easy to reach by foot, car, or public transit.

Ideal sites will have tables and chairs readily available, kitchens in which to set up or clean up meals, refrigerators to store leftovers, and restrooms for kids and staff to use. Special consideration will be needed for a site located outdoors.

Sites should offer educational, enrichment, and OTHER recreational activities. Sites must be the actual locations where meals are served and children eat in a supervised setting.
