WORKING TOGETHER TO FILL THE GAP

Our mission to fill the summer meal gap wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing community partners.

Community Partners

Our partners provide opportunities to make a positive impact on children’s lives this summer.

Collaborating with businesses and non-profit organizations throughout San Antonio, our community partner initiatives aim to raise food, funds and awareness for our Summer Meals for Kids campaign. Together, we can fill the summer meal gap and eliminate childhood hunger in our community.

Together we can make a difference.

Feed SA

April 15 – June 15

With the help of local organizations and champions, FeedSA has raised millions of meals in the fight against hunger of the past 14 years. This year’s campaign hopes to raise 800,000 meals for our community. Collecting food, funds, and volunteer hours, FeedSA challenges the community to join the fight against hunger.

Rowan Windham Memorial Cereal Drive

May 22 – May 26

Before his passing, Rowan Windham hoped to eliminate childhood hunger by collecting boxes of cereal from his hospital room. In his honor, Carrie Windham and Methodist Children’s Hospital champion a cereal drive every year to help reach Rowan’s goal of raising 225,000 servings of cereal to donate to the San Antonio Food Bank. Every $1 donated equals seven servings of cereal.

This year, over 225,000 servings of cereal were raised and H-E-B and Oak Farms donated two truckloads of milk to support the drive.

San Antonio Missions Food Drive

May 13 & June 10

The San Antonio Missions have partnered with Circle K to host two food drives collecting food for our Summer Meals For Kids campaign. Individuals who donate at the May 13 and June 10 home games will receive ticket vouchers for a future game. Donations will be accepted on game day from 6:30 – 10 PM.
