SAN ANTONIO — The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive launched today with an ambitious goal of collecting 500,000 pounds of food in a single day to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank.
Residents will receive a blue bag in their mailboxes over the next week. On Saturday, May 10, they are encouraged to fill the bag with non-perishable food items. Mail carriers will then collect the donations and deliver them to the food bank.
CPS Energy, a key partner in the event, says last year’s event was the top one in the nation, and they are looking to do the same thing this year.
