The San Antonio Food Bank is honored to once again receive support through the Popeyes Foundation’s Food Love Grant, a generous $6,500 award for general operations that helps us continue our mission to fight hunger and provide nourishment for families across Southwest Texas.
Since 2018, the Popeyes Foundation has been dedicated to raising awareness and funds to strengthen communities with food and support in times of need. In 2023, the Popeyes Foundation launched SERVING WITH LOVE®, an initiative focused on directing a percentage of funds raised in-restaurants locally through the Food Love Grants Program and continuing emergency-related support for Team Members. This effort would not be possible without the support from Popeyes franchisees and Team Members.
What makes the Popeyes Foundation’s Food Love Grants Program unique is the inspiration stems from Popeyes’ beloved New Orleans roots, which are all about being there for their neighbors and serving communities through food. That’s why the Popeyes Foundation serves love to its people and communities that stretches beyond those Cajun favorites. Food Love Grants are focused on ensuring everyone has a seat at the table, and can experience that homemade-style, soul warming, no matter what you don’t go hungry kind of love. Support ranges from out-of-school meals, mobile food kitchens, home delivery meal programs, to onsite feeding programs and more.
The San Antonio Food Bank is thrilled to be a part of the Popeyes Foundation’s SERVING WITH LOVE® initiative. Through our Food Love Grant, we will keep food moving efficiently from our warehouse to the tables of families and individuals across Southwest Texas.
