From Our Farm To Your Table

The San Antonio Food Bank invites you to the inaugural Sabor y Tú: A Farm-to-Chef Dinner. Join us for an evening celebrating local flavors and community impact. Savor a five-course dinner prepared by renowned chefs Steve McHugh, James Beard nominee and head chef at Cured, and Elizabeth Johnson, Chef Ambassador for UNESCO’s City of Gastronomy and head chef at PharmTable.

The dinner features produce from the Food Bank’s urban farm as well as locally sourced venison and grass-fed beef, highlighting the vital connection between sustainable agriculture and healthy food access. Proceeds from this event directly support the San Antonio Food Bank’s sustainability and agriculture initiatives, ensuring access to fresh, nutritious food for our community. Together, we can cultivate a nourished Southwest Texas.

Tickets are required to attend this event. Individual tickets may be purchased for $125. Sponsorship opportunities for this event have sold out. Thank you to everyone that has committed to helping us Fight Hunger & Feed Hope.

Steve McHugh

Chef-Owner of Cured and Six-time James Beard Award finalist, Steve McHugh is celebrated for his dedication to sustainable and seasonal cuisine. In 2022, the International Fresh Produce Association honored McHugh with the Produce Excellence in Foodservice Award, recognizing his commitment to incorporating fresh produce into his menus.

Elizabeth Johnson

Chef Elizabeth Johnson is the founder and chef-owner of Pharm Table, an apothecary kitchen located in San Antonio’s Southtown district. Prior to establishing Pharm Table in 2015, she served as a Latin Cuisines Specialist and Chef Instructor at The Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio from 2008 to 2014.
