Become A Partner Agency

A partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank is one way to enhance our mission by nourishing our community directly and demonstrating leadership in ending hunger. The soup kitchens, food pantries, after-school feeding programs, treatment center meals, shelters and other services provided by our partners enhance the quality of life available to Southwest Texans.

Step 1

Application Process

During this step, you will complete/gather the following:

  • Agency Application
  • Copy of 501 c 3 letter from the IRS
  • Photo of the Inside and Outside of your storage area
  • Pest Control Documentation
  • Food Handler’s License (if you are preparing meals)
  • Health Inspection (if you are preparing meals)
  • Food Permit (if you are preparing meals)
  • Foster Care License (for each participating family in the pod)
  • Foster Home Health Inspection (for each participating family)

Step 2

Inspection & Approval

Attend Partner Agency Orientation Class

  • Inspection/Site Visit
  • Approval or recommendations for improvements
  • Creating account and agency cards
  • Ordering and picking up product through the warehouse

Step 3

Ongoing Requirements

Attend Partner Agency Orientation Class

  • Having new staff of agency trained if there is turn over in management
  • Mandatory attendance of an annual Agency Relations Conference (several are scheduled throughout the year)
  • Renewal of application, pest control and other requested documentation
  • Annual inspection/site visit from the SAFB
  • Mandatory food safety training of at least one volunteer (whether by the San Antonio Food Bank or other service)
