NUTRITION, HEALTH, & WELLNESS

The San Antonio Food Bank is committed to improve the prospects that individuals in the community will make healthy and affordable food choices and engage in physically active lifestyles consistent with the current USDA Dietary Guidelines.

Our Nutrition, Health and Wellness team works to promote healthy eating patterns and active life styles to improve the health of the community. We do this by educating the community through a variety of free classes and by promoting healthy eating through urban gardening and Farmers’ Markets.

Our Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Team consists of highly qualified food and Nutrition Professionals as well as Physical Activity Specialists, Certified Chefs and Master Gardeners. All of our classes are available free of charge to organizations (minimum of 8 participants). Individuals can register for our Viva Bien! Live Well with Diabetes classes which are held at the San Antonio Food Bank.
