Learn 5 ways you can partner with the San Antonio Food Bank to fight hunger and feed hope – and LOVE!
1. Vo-love-teer
Sign up for a volunteer shift any time in the month of February. The Food Bank offers a large variety of volunteer opportunities that are friendly to all ages and capabilities. Volunteer with a loved one in our community kitchen and prepare meals for our neighbors in need or opt for more one-on-one time and distribute food at our mobile food distributions.
2. Dine during Black Restaurant Week San Antonio
Treat yourself, and others, by enjoying a meal at partnering restaurants during Black Restaurant Week San Antonio, taking place February 27 – March 6. Order the restaurant’s designated special and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the San Antonio Food Bank!
3. Let love grow
Rather than purchasing an expensive bouquet, give back to your community by volunteering with the Food Bank’s Farm and Garden team to help with plant maintenance instead. Your pockets will love you, and so will our gardens and neighbors we serve who benefit from fresh produce grown across our Food Bank farms!
4. Enjoy the outdoors
Do you and your loves ones enjoy golfing? Join the San Antonio Food Bank for our Doing Good on the Green golf tournament. Register as a team or individual and enjoy the beautiful terrain of TPC San Antonio’s Canyon course and Oaks course – host of the Valero Texas Open. Every $1 generated will provide 7 meals to neighbors in need.
5. Donate in honor of a loved one
Honor and celebrate someone special by giving a donation in their name for Valentine’s Day. The donation is tax-deductible and the Food Bank can notify the honoree of your donation.
