Farmers Markets

FARMERS MARKETS

Bringing resources & fresh produce to underserved areas across Southwest Texas.

Bringing Fresh, Local Produce to Our Community

The San Antonio Food Bank is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community by increasing access to fresh, nutritious produce. We partner with local farmers to bring high-quality fruits and vegetables directly to families and seniors in need.

We are proud to host a variety of Farmers’ Markets where eligible WIC participants and seniors can receive federal FMNP vouchers to purchase fresh, nutritious produce.

How It Works

  1. Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements for either the WIC or Senior program.
  2. Visit a Farmers’ Market: Bring the necessary documents (SHOPPING LIST for WIC, ID for Seniors) to a participating market.
  3. Receive Vouchers: Collect your vouchers on-site from our friendly staff.
  4. Shop for Fresh Produce: Use your vouchers to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and honey (for seniors) until October 31, 2024.

2024 Farmers Market Season

Join us at our upcoming farmers markets, operating now through October 31, 2024.

The remaining farmers markets are for seniors and WIC participants who have already been issued FMNP & SFMNP vouchers. While no new vouchers will be issued at these markets, we encourage those with vouchers to come out and redeem them for fresh, local produce with participating farmers.
