Residents from the Hill Country Retreat by Del Webb collected 731 pounds of peanut butter for a recent food drive in their community.
The group was inspired to give back to children in our community who are food insecure. Currently, 1 in 4 children in Southwest Texas do not have stable meals.
Peanut butter is one of or top most wanted items at the Food Bank and with the upcoming summer break, the need has increased.
You can get involved by dropping off any non-perishable food items to our office (5200 Enrique M Barrera Pkwy, San Antonio, TX, 78227), Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and Saturdays, 8:00am-2:00pm.
