Traders Village: One Year Later

One year ago today, the San Antonio Food Bank had an emergency food distribution at Traders Village. 10,000 cars – 50,000 individuals – were served in the midst of the economic crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the day that we visibly saw the economic hardships our neighbors were suffering, and it was the day our city pulled together to help one another in a time of crisis. Together we are San Antonio Strong.

To mark this anniversary, a group of news outlets came out with local public servants as well as Food Bank staff and a client who was served at the original food distribution on April 9, 2020.
