A Food Fair is a San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) program that provides large quantities of perishable and non-perishable food items (and more) to qualified individuals and families.
A Food Fair typically last three hours, and are held with the support of our partner agencies throughout 16 counties in Southwest Texas. The Food Fairs program connects individuals to other SAFB programs including Benefits Assistance and Nutrition, Health and Wellness Education.
Agency staff qualifies individuals based on their income (verbal declaration) by using a voucher provided by the SAFB and Federal Income Guidelines. The agencies facilitate the distribution of the products to the individuals and families.
