Multiple food giveaways scheduled for families in need

Local philanthropist Harvey E. Najim wants to make sure that no child goes hungry this holiday season so he's partnering with the San Antonio Food Bank.

SAN ANTONIO — A local philanthropist in San Antonio wants to make sure that no child goes hungry this holiday season, so he has partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank. 

Harvey E. Najim is underwriting three huge mobile distributions targeted at local districts which serve low-income households and will take place from 9 until 11 a.m. on December 6, 12 and 14.

Any family with children in need of immediate food assistance this holiday season is welcome to pre-register ahead and to attend one of the three mega mobile distributions by registering at: www.safoodbank.org/help/.

“Harvey Najim is a great champion for children in our community and his support this December will help ensure no child will go to bed hungry,” said Eric Cooper, President & CEO of the Food Bank. “Harvey’s support this December is unprecedented in the nation.”

December 6 at South San ISD Stadium  7800 Kindred Street San Antonio 78224 

  • Parking on that day:  Enter from Palo Alto Rd. and turn onto Bobcat Lane. The first entrance on the right is where the team will turn with the immediate parking spot on the left will be coned off. Parking spots will be blocked off. The distribution will be taking place in the parking lot across the street.
