The Workforce Development Department is a San Antonio Food Bank initiative to help address the issue of unemployment and underemployment in San Antonio by working with the community and its industries.

Our goal is to lower unemployment and underemployment by giving our clients the knowledge and resources to become self-sufficient and gainfully employed.

GED Classes Information

Registration, Assessment, and Orientations

Where: San Antonio Food Bank 5200 Enrique M. Barrera Pkwy. San Antonio, TX 78227

When: 

  • March 16 & 17, 2020 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • May 11 & 12, 2020 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Eligibility

  • 19 years or older (and have a valid Photo I.D.)
  • 17 or 18 years old must have a school district withdrawal document or parent letter stating student was home-schooled and gives consent (parent must be present at registration)
  • 16 years old must have a court order, letter from a judge, or letter from authorizing agency, school district documentation, or parent letter (parent must be present at registration)

If you are in need of job assistance services, please call us so we can discuss your situation and determine how we can best help you. After speaking with you and understanding your needs, we will set up an in-person appointment and schedule you to attend our Job Readiness class.
