Former NFL star supports Souper Bowl campaign: Urges donation to San Antonio Food Bank

SAN ANTONIO - This week, we are on a mission to raise $58,000 for the San Antonio Food Bank through our Souper Bowl of Caring Campaign.

This morning, we heard from Jarveon Williams, one of several former NFL Athletes who have helped us.

When asked why it’s important to give back, Jarveon said that giving back is a testament to himself as a person.

“I feel like I had a humble upbringing with my mom in a single-parent household. So, I didn't know where some of my meals were coming from.” Jarveon said. “I’m thankful to my mom who kept us clothed and sheltered, and I know there are other people out there who are not as fortunate, so any opportunity I have to help out and give back, I'm blessed to do so.”
