Agency Distribution Order Clerk
The primary objectives of this position are to effectively manage government awards and ensure compliance with agency requirements while providing oversight of general accounting functions.
The Garden Worker will assist in the implementation of the Community Garden Initiative in partnership with members of other SAFB departments such as Development, Operations to be able to bring resources for this initiative and distribute fresh produce to the network of agencies. Person will help maintain farm, garden, landscapes and assist in volunteer engagement.
Nutrition and Program Recruiter
The primary objective of this position is to recruit partner agencies and community partners in the 16 county region of the San Antonio Food Bank to engage and execute the curriculum of the Nutrition Health and Wellness program to the populations served by the program or partner. Secondary objective of this position will be to identify and recruit partners in the service territory to provide emergency food assistance for communities suffering from food insecurity.
Distribution Team Leader
The purpose of this position is to ensure the oversight of the accurate and timely execution of orders for all partners / customers and the oversight of the School Commodity Contract held by the San Antonio Food Bank.
Line Chef – Community Kitchen
Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
Driver (Class A or B)
This position is responsible to pick up and secure all food and grocery item donations. Responsible for the distribution of food and grocery items to our agencies in the 16 county service areas.
Summer Feeding Service Program Monitor
This temporary part-time position conducts site visitations on a regular basis and observes meal service operations during the course of the summer. At a minimum, one monitor is needed for every 15 to 20 sites. Monitors are critical to the successful operation of our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
Summer Feeding Service Program Driver
This temporary part time position is responsible for securing and the delivery of prepared meals to site locations throughout San Antonio, New Braunfels and possible rural area service sites.
Summer Feeding Service Program Production
This temporary part time position assists with preparing meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack) during the course of the summer for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Food Production Staff are critical to the successful operation of our Summer Program.
New Braunfels Summer Program Coordinator
The general purpose of this temporary part time position is to educate and assist in all programs and operations of the New Braunfels Food Bank. Coordinator will be responsible for emphasis on Healthy Cooking, Physical Activity, Gardening and Financial Literacy (Eating Healthy under a Budget) and promoting outreach and educational opportunities of the programs to the population served.
Farmers’ Market Program Coordinator
The general objective of this temporary part time position is to assist in the execution and redemption of the Farmer’s Market Programs of the San Antonio Food Bank as well as develops and distributes Nutrition Education as related to the Farmers’ Markets Nutrition Programs.
Haven for Hope – Sous Chef

This position will oversee the staff and activities of the four kitchens managed by the San Antonio Food Bank and the Culinary Arts Training Program.
Nutrition Inventory Coordinator
The primary objectives of this position are to assist the Nutrition Education Coordinators conducting SNAP Ed in inventory management and ensure adequate product for Cooking Demos and Incentives for participants. This position will ensure inventories are available to support all nutrition education activities taking place with the HOPE, Kid’s Café and Community Kitchen programs as well as all classes and demos.
Americorps Vista – Feeding Texas: New Braunfels
The Summer Associate serving at the Kitchen Table Food Pantry in New Braunfels, Texas will fulfill the role of Summer Camp Coordinator for the Healthy Cooking Camp series. The camp is a two-week program for children ages eight and up living in Comal County. The Summer Associate will be responsible for executing the nutrition curriculum provided by the Nutrition Health and Wellness department to five groups of 25 children over the course of the summer to improve nutrition knowledge and outcomes for participants.
