Client Services Representative
Responsible for providing client assistance in a Call Center environment. Calls and walk-in clients are handled efficiently and with a high degree of professional compassionate service. Effectively works within a team environment to ensure expeditious completion of client services.
Administrative Support Worker
Provide executive administrative support by performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, answering phones, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings.
Agricultural Initiatives & Facilities Manager
The selected candidate will be responsible for forecasting farm development, land/ crop rotation, planting and building projects. They will oversee the farm initiatives; produce related programs and Farm to Table. Oversee all facility needs, request and facility purchases needed for the main building, Haven for Hope and Kitchen Table.
Executive Chef – Community Kitchen
The Executive chef trains and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food; select and develop recipes; standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality; establish presentation technique and quality standards; plan and price menus; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques. Directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases.
Major Gifts Officer
The primary objective of this position is to work with the Director of Individual and Major Giving as well as the Chief Development Officer in securing charitable gifts and connecting the food bank to individuals and businesses in the community. A portfolio of prospects (+/-50) will be established annually, along with an annual fundraising target.
Sous Chef – Community Kitchen
This position is primarily responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen. Assisting in the Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner meals IAW Texas Special Nutrition Program for AMA Program Monday-Sunday. Schedule may include holidays.
Nutrition Inventory Coordinator
The primary objectives of this position are to assist the Nutrition Education Coordinators conducting SNAP Ed in inventory management and ensure adequate product for Cooking Demos and Incentives for participants. This position will ensure inventories are available to support all nutrition education activities taking place with the HOPE, Kid’s Café and Community Kitchen programs as well as all classes and demos.
The Garden Worker will assist in the implementation of the Community Garden Initiative in partnership with members of other SAFB departments such as Development, Operations to be able to bring resources for this initiative and distribute fresh produce to the network of agencies. Person will help maintain farm, garden, landscapes and assist in volunteer engagement.
New Braunfels Food Bank Coordinator
The general purpose of this position is to educate and assist in all programs and operations of the New Braunfels Food Bank. Coordinator will be responsible for teaching classes with an emphasis on Healthy Cooking, Physical Activity, Gardening and Financial Literacy (Eating Healthy under a Budget) and promoting outreach and educational opportunities of the programs to the population served.
Food and Fund Drive Coordinator
This position works with the Director of Community Investments to secure resources (food, time, money, and voice) through food & fund drives, third party events, and cause-related marketing agreements from community organizations such as corporations, schools, civic groups, professional associations, clubs, and churches. This position also oversees all aspects of city-wide food drives benefiting the Food Bank.
Children’s Program Menu Manager
Plan menus for reimbursable meals according to the USDA and TDA National School Lunch, School Breakfast and After School Care Programs guidelines, Child and Adult Care Feeding Program (CACFP), and Summer Feeding (SFSP) Program.
Sous Chef (Haven for Hope)
Supervise production of high volume of meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack & Dinner) according to USDA guidelines for the appropriate program (Kid’s Café, CACFP, NSLP, ASCP, SBP).
Mobile Pantry Coordinator
The primary objective of this position is to effectively plan, develop, and implement the San Antonio Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Program. The secondary objective of this position is to fulfill any activities that meet the advancement needs of Partner Services of the San Antonio Food Bank.
Driver (Class A or B)
This position is responsible to pick up and secure all food and grocery item donations. Responsible for the distribution of food and grocery items to our agencies in the 16 county service areas.
San Antonio Food Bank Workforce Coordinator (New Braunfels)
Primarily responsible for training activities in a classroom setting to improve program participant’s ability to effectively seek employment as well as provide instruction in the pre-employment process.
Director of Donor Information Systems
The Director of Donor Information Systems reports to the Chief Development Officer and plays an important role on the development team by leading the Database team to provide the most effective and accurate donor information possible, along with overseeing integration of data from other departments (volunteers, food sourcing, etc). This role will lead the charge in collecting, maintaining and analyzing that data and information needed to fuel the Development team’s work within the community. Additionally, the Director will have direct oversight for donor information collected electronically via the website and other online efforts.
Garden Engagement Coordinator
Coordinate with the Volunteer Engagement Team and Garden Manager to effectively utilize volunteers to assist with the Community Garden.
Director of Individual Giving
The primary objective of this position is to effectively plan, develop, and implement a fundraising plan for major gifts including, but not limited to, the identification, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and tracking of major gift prospects. This position will carry a portfolio of 75-100 major gifts prospects.
Nutrition Education Coordinator
The Nutrition Education Coordinator will implement the Nutrition, Health & Wellness Curriculum and Gardening initiatives at different schools, community based organizations in partnership with teachers/educators, nutrition professionals/dietitians, chefs and other community workers. Duties include scheduling and conducting nutrition, health & wellness and gardening classes, building school and urban gardens and training organizations on their maintenance.
