Children’s Program Manager
The primary objective of this position is to serve as the liaison and administrator between eligible Children’s program sites throughout the SAFB service territory. The Children’s Programs Manager will be integral in assisting program recruitment, application, ongoing compliance and capacity evaluation and a general administration of the policies and guidelines of the San Antonio Food Bank, Feeding America and the Texas Department of Agriculture as they relate to the eligible children’s programs.
The buyer is responsible for purchasing product for various Food Bank programs including but not limited to weekly perishable orders, special event, programs like our BackPack or Kids Cafe, and more. The buyer is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with various vendors, suppliers and Food Bank staff.
Mobile Mercado Driver
The primary objective of this position is to effectively work with the Farmers’ Market Manager to implement the San Antonio Food Bank’s Mobile Mercado Initiative. In addition, requirements of the position are to fulfill any activities that meet the advancement needs of Partners under this initiative.
Agency Distribution Order Clerk
The Grant Accountant is responsible for providing financial and other administrative support in applying for and/or receiving government awards and private foundation grants. The Grant Accountant must comply with established policies and procedures specifically in the use of proper GAAP to transactions. An ability to prioritize, work independently, and maintain a professional demeanor is essential.
Community Kitchen Sous Chef
The Garden Worker will assist in the implementation of the Community Garden Initiative in partnership with members of other SAFB departments such as Development, Operations to be able to bring resources for this initiative and distribute fresh produce to the network of agencies. Person will help maintain farm, garden, landscapes and assist in volunteer engagement.

Executive Chef – Community Kitchen
The Executive chef trains and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food; select and develop recipes; standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality; establish presentation technique and quality standards; plan and price menus; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques. Directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases.
