Benefitting the San Antonio Food Bank
Summer 2014

KENS 5, H-E-B, and Five Star Cleaners are joining forces with the San Antonio Food Bank this summer to challenge the community to collect a Million Summer Meals for Kids.

Summer is the San Antonio Food Bank’s greatest time of need as when school is out low-income children lose their access to regular daily school breakfasts and lunches. This puts a greater strain on families’ already tight budget and as a result, the Food Bank receives a significant increase in emergency food requests during the summer.

KENS 5, H-E-B, and Five Star Cleaners are launching a new campaign, Million Summer Meals for Kids, from now until August 22nd to address this need. The community can help by donating food or money this summer. Official drop off locations include all Air Force Federal Credit Union braches, Country Home Learning Centers, North Park Volkswagen, North Park Toyota, and Express Lube locations.

The San Antonio Food Bank also encourages you to donate online here.
